For customers who want basic, high-speed connectivity, the Intel PRO/100+ Adapter provides peak performance and leading reliability in a non-managed card. It includes a full driver suite that is backwards compatible with existing Intel PRO/100 desktop adapters�so the new drivers will support your installed base.

Adaptive Technology is a silicon-based solution that optimizes adapter performance based on your existing network environments. In addition, packet spacing is increased to reduce collisions when traffic is heavy and decreased when traffic is light for optimal throughput. Adaptive Technology also enables easy software upgrades to the adapter microcode. This can increase adapter longevity by upgrading operation at the silicon level without costly hardware upgrades.
